These little love bugs were rescued in a Taco Bell Parking lot in Los Banos with horribly infected eyes.  Our amazing vet removed the infected tissues leaving Rambo with one eye and Rocki with none.  Despite their disabilities, they are extremely active and, playful.  If our foster coordinator hadn’t personally assisted with surgery she would think Rocki even had partial vision.  She is a wonder to watch with her “bat vision” and she jumps around after her toy mouse.  Rambo on the other hand loves wrestling with his bigger foster brother and is affectionately called One Eyed Jack by his foster dad.  While the kittens are raised in a busy home with teens, construction and cats, they may thrive in a simpler home.  Being blind, they can startle easily and it is important to keep the environment somewhat controlled.  Poor Rocki has bumped into random backpacks and shoes thrown on the ground a few times.  When these kittens are full grown they will need surgery to clean all the remaining tissue that needs it and can have surgery to cosmetically have their eye sockets closed. Gatos de la Noche will be happy to cover the cost of these surgeries. These siblings are special kittens that will need a special home with a family that understands their needs and is patient with them.
